Boarders at Felsted lead full lives. There is time to ensure academic work is completed to a high standard, to be involved in a breadth of co-curricular activities and to build lifelong friendships. Personal qualities such as confidence, independence, organisation and leadership will be developed in a caring and happy community.
Day pupils at Felsted are able take full advantage of the boarding school day and reap many benefits from all that is on offer. Through a partnership between school and home, a pupil's development and progress are most effectively guided and monitored.
All pupils belong to a House, where the Housemaster or Housemistress is chiefly responsible for each child's general welfare, and who, in consultation with parents, oversees the major decisions relating to the individual pupil's school life and career development. There are ten Houses in total at Felsted: two for Day Pupils, six for Boarders in Years 9 to Lower Sixth and two for Upper Sixth Boarders.
