Over 2,500 pupils, staff, parents and former students from across the world attended. The ‘Felsted Flyer’, a specifically chartered train from Chelmsford, transported pupils to the capital early on Friday morning.

450th Anniversary Approaches - April 2013
With less than a year until Felsted School and its wider community join together to celebrate the School's rich history and future, preparations are well underway. Merchandise for the occasion will soon be available to purchase through the website www.felsted.org/450 where all the latest news and information about the year’s celebrations will be advertised. Recently I have visited Middle Temple, St Paul's Cathedral, Sir Robert Finch (OF) and English Heritage, whom I hope will support the year’s events. The 450th tree sculpture at the rear of the School's hockey pitches is also taking shape nicely despite the cold weather, showing resilience and prosperity, much like a true Felstedian!
400th Anniversary Organiser finally hands over to the 450th Co-ordinator!
Mr Henry Maitland, who played a key role in the 400th Anniversary organisations, met with Miss Hannah Grace this week to finally handover the documents that he had been storing since 1964. They catalogued the masterful operations of the 400th Anniversary and all of the documents are either, hand-written or typed, pre-email or even photocopying of course. Mr Maitland was very impressed with the preparations and planning that is already well underway and looks forward to seeing Felsted reach another pinnacle milestone in its already impressive history. Mr Maitland recalled many wonderful stories about the year’s festivities, along with the Queen Mother's personal tour of the Bury by a very young, dashing Hugh Dixon, Head of School (63-64). The schedule for the day went completely out of sync as she enjoyed herself and the School so much.
